An excerpt from my feature in In Her Studio magazine…

“I didn’t have a lot to give when I first began taking my love of painting more seriously. It was the worst depression of my life that led me here, jobless, terrified, and honestly quite hopeless. My sweet husband encouraged me to lean into the one thing I seemed capable of wrapping my mind around at the time: painting. I started painting plant life, mostly because I found comfort in the way that it seemed so fragile and resilient all at the same time, and I was hoping that I could be the same way.”
